Christianity cryogenically locked itself in 2000 years ago. It fossilized itself. There are no new prophets, no new teachers, no one enlightening us except with the same old tired statements made 2000 plus years ago. They have the one book with no new information or what they like to call revelation. Have you met someone who only lives in the past? It is quite sad.
Science on the other is quite vital and creating countless benefits to mankind. It is curing diseases and making incredible discoveries. Christianity has nothing to add or worse puts a drag on the process.
If you got cancer would you rather go exclusively to an oncologist or exclusively to Pat Robinson to say a little prayer for you? What would you venture the survival rate is between the two? Don't see any Christians hanging up their shingle to have diseases cured. We would consider him to be a voodoo doctor.
Some have tried prayer. Fox News - Girl Dies After Parents Pray for Healing Instead of Seeking Medical Help
Moses miracle of the burning bush only witnessed by him is a good story. We can only see it by a cartoon drawing. In fact most of the imagines in my head of the Bible and its stories, including Jesus, are just cartoon imagines. Seems about right.
I am far more impressed by what the Hubble telescope can show all of us.
Christianity had a good run. Too bad so few realize that it usefulness is behind us and those who keep us there put a major drag on mankind's advancement. Remember how a fundamental President held down stem cell research. Glad that is over.
Wow, you have been busy. What an excellent blog and it keeps getting better. Have you tried advertising your hard work on Christian blogs to reach the people who most need to see it?
ReplyDeleteI have done some minimal adverts, but you are so much better at it than I am. If you want to happen to shoot anyone my way I would appreciate it. You find some interesting websites. How do you find them? Do you have a strategy?
ReplyDeleteHow do you find them?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I should have suggested this a long time ago.
I use google email alerts on the following subjects:
intelligent design
creationism
evolution
darwinism
atheist
atheism
Type = Comprehensive
How often = as it happens
Do this and you will get tons of email alerts at all times of the day and night about blogs and other websites about any subject you're interested in.
Also, I recommend the Christian extremist blogs, even though they don't bother to leave comments at my website, but they might be more interested in talking to you because you used to be one of them and you know how to speak their language.

Because of your amazing life history and your abilities, you can make a significant contribution to making the world a better place. Lots of luck.
Thanks. I set up the alerts.
ReplyDeleteI checked the two websites you mention and through a comment I was lead to a deceptively name website here

I can only stomach so much.
THERE ARE APP. 10,285 PROPHECIES IN THE BIBLE AND EVERY ONE UP TO THIS TIME HAS COME TRUE WITHOUT ONE SINGLE EXCEPTION? THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD-Ps 14:1.
So there is approximately 10,285 prophecies. He doesn't list them and for the few he does they are no better than reading a horoscope. I see he put a Freudian slip question mark in the statement above. LOL
Here is a chart of prophecies
ReplyDeleteProphecy Chart from Abraham to the end
One is "There would be a worldwide church headquartered in Rome". I looked up all the text and there is not one mention of Rome, but only Babylon which is timezones away.
Another "There would be weapons that could destroy all life on earth". No one text says that. There is no mention of atomic weapons but that just many will be killed. That happened with swords and arrows. Every prophecy can be filled if you just make shit up.
ARGGGHHHH!!!!
