Entertaining if you have the time. Hitchens is delightful as always. One rabbi doesn't believe in an afterlife while the other does. It is noted near the end that most Jews are atheist, which Hitchens retorts "It is most comforting to know that the first monotheistic religion is the first to abandon it".

Damaged Brain Can Fully Function After Death

Excellent point by Sam Harris on how damaged brains lose functionality but somehow when completely damaged by death it works just fine. Our thoughts and feelings are said by the religious to be our spirit/soul. Science shows that is connected to the function of the brain. Strong argument for me against life after death.

Also why do those people who "come back from death" only see white lights and happiness and there is not even one of them that comes back after seeing the devil, fire and brimstone? If you were heaven bound why would you come back? If you were hell bound why wouldn't you come back? It is silly. I think the brain is no longer feeling the pain of the human body if you are that close to death and it simply feels better.
