You Say You Found Jesus Christ

Wish John had lived long enough to put out a studio version of this. It was his visceral reaction to Bob Dylan becoming a Christian and putting out his dark age song "You Got To Serve Somebody" and of course that could ONLY be the DEVIL or the LORD.

I am with John and should there be a God so evil as the one found in the Bible I would rather be in Hell with John and countless other people who were also against tyranny.

Lyrics

You say you found jesus christ
He's the only one
You say you've found buddha
Sittin' in the sun
You say you found mohammed
Facin' to the east
You say you found krishna
Dancin' in the streets

Well there's somethin' missing in this god almighty stew
And it's your mother (your mother, don't forget your mother, lad)
You got to serve yourself
Ain't nobody gonna do it for you
You got to serve yourself
Ain't nobody gonna do it for you
Well you may believe in devils and you may believe in lords
But if you don't go out and serve yourself, lad, ain't no room service here

It's still the same old story
A bloody holy war
A fight for love and glory
Ain't gonna study war no more
A fight for god and country
We're gonna set you free
We'll put you back in the stone age
If you won't be like me - get it?

You got to serve yourself
Ain't nobody gonna do for you
You got to serve yourself
Ain't nobody gonna do for you
Well you may believe in devils and you may believe in lords

'but christ, you're gonna have to serve yourself and that's all there is to it.
So get right back here it's in the bloody fridge. god, when i was a kid.
Didn't have stuff like this, tv-fuckin' dinners and all that crap.
You fuckin' kids are all the fuckin' same! want a fuckin' car now...
Lucky to have a pair of shoes!'

You tell me you found jesus christ
[Lyrics from: https:/lyrics.az/lennon-john/-/serve-yourself.html]
Well that's great and he's the only one
You say you just found buddha
Sittin' on his ass in the sun
You say you found mohammed
Kneeling on a bloody carpet facin' the east
You say you found krishna
With a bald head dancin' in the street ('well, christ, now you're
Being heard')

You got to serve yourself
Ain't nobody gonna do for you
You got to serve yourself
Ain't nobody gonna do for you ('that's right, lad, you better get that straight
Into your fuckin' head')
You got to serve yourself ('you know that, who else is gonna do it for you, it
Ain't me i tell you that')
Well, you may believe in jesus, and you may believe in marx
And you may believe in marks and spencer's and you may believe in bloody
Woolworths
But there's something missing in this whole bloody stew
And it's your mother, your poor bloody mother ('she worked for you in the
Back bedroom, full of piss and shit and fuckin' midwives. god, you can't
Forget that awful moment, you know. you should have been in the bloody
War, lad, and you would know all about it. well, i'll tell you something.')

It's still the same old story
A holy bloody war, you know, with the pope and all that stuff
A fight for love and glory
Ain't gonna study no more war
A fight for god and country, and the queen and all that
We're gonna set you free
Bomb you back into the fuckin' stone age
If you won't be like me, you know, get down on your knees and pray

Well there's somethin' missing in this god almighty stew
And it's your goddamn mother you dirty little git, now
Get in there and wash yer ears!

It Is Called Snake Oil, Y'all

Steve Earle's great hit sums up religion

Ladies and gentlemen, attention please

Come in close so everyone can see

I got a tale to tell

A listen don't cost a dime

And if you believe that we're gonna get along just fine

Now I've been travelin' all around

I heard trouble's come to your town

Well I've got a little somethin'

Guaranteed to ease your mind

It's call Snake Oil y'all

It's been around for a long, long time

Say, your crops'll burn if it don't rain soon

Ain't seen a drop since the tenth of June

Well I can open up the sky

People never fear

If you ain't impressed yet, just tell me what you wanna hear

Well you lost your farm so you moved to town

You get a job, they shut the factory down

Now you sit around all day long feelin' sad and blue

You need Snake Oil y'all, tell you what I'm gonna do

I can heal the sick, I can mend the lame

And the blind shall see again, it's all the same

Well ain't your President good to you

Knocked 'em dead in Libya, Grenada too

Now he's taking his show a little further down the line

Well, 'tween me and him people, you're gonna get along just fine

Satisfied

Thomas Alan "Tom" Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American singer-songwriter, composer, and actor. Waits has a distinctive voice, described by critic Daniel Durchholz as sounding "like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car."[1] With this trademark growl, his incorporation of pre-rock music styles such as blues, jazz, and vaudeville, and experimental tendencies verging on industrial music,[2] Waits has built up a distinctive musical persona. He has worked as a composer for movies and musical plays and as a supporting actor in films, including Down by Law and Bram Stoker's Dracula. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his soundtrack work on One from the Heart.

Bible Says "Women Shut Your Mouth"

Welcome
We love you
We hate you
We love you
We want you
We need you
We wish we were like you
They say you're a saint
You're a whore
You're a sinner
That he had you
He made you
He can't live without you
Would you confess if we asked
That you nurture the urge
To declare that it’s time
To settle down
With a man of your own
You want a baby
A family
A piece of security

Shut your mouth
Try not to panic
Just shut your mouth
If you can do it
Shut your mouth
Try not to panic
Just shut your mouth
If you can do it
Just shut your mouth

What's your opinion of the dire situation
In our land here
Our guest here
Of course you'll be nice here
How do you feel about God and religion
Are you good people
Bad people
Guess it doesn't matter people
Your place
My place
Make her bring that famous face
You got some
You want some
You wanna let me get you some
We know your music but of course we'd never buy it
It’s too fake man
Right man!
(We don't give a fucking damn)

Shut your mouth
Try not to panic
Just shut your mouth
If you can do it
Shut your mouth
Try not to panic
Just shut your mouth
If you can do it

I hear you say it
Play it smart girl
Win the game love
Give’em what they want
What they want to see and you could be a big star
You could go far
Make a landmark
What have you been reading you smart girl?
Win the game love
Give’em what they want
What they want to see and you could be a big star
You could go far
Make a landmark
Make a shitload

And the world spins by
With everybody moaning
Pissing, bitching and everyone is shitting
On their friends
On their love
On their oaths
On their honor
On their graves
On their mouths
And their words say nothing

Shut your mouth
Try not to panic
Just shut your mouth
If you can do it
Shut your mouth
Try not to panic
Just shut your mouth
If you can do it
Just shut your mouth

I wanted to say something
Oh shut your mouth
I wanted to say something
Just shut your mouth
I wanted to say something
Oh shut your mouth
I wanted to be something
Just shut your mouth

What Woman Would Sleep With A 900 Year Old Man?

One incredible voice for a great song.

Aretha Louise Franklin (born March 25, 1942) is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Although known for her soul recordings and referred to as The Queen of Soul, Franklin is also adept at jazz, blues, R&B, gospel music, and rock. Rolling Stone magazine ranked her atop its list of The Greatest Singers of All Time.
It ain't necessarily so
It ain't necessarily so
The t'ings dat yo' li'ble
To read in de Bible,
It ain't necessarily so.

Li'l David was small, but oh my !
Yes David was small, but oh my !
He fought Big Goliath
Who lay down an' dieth !
Yes David was small, but oh my !

Oh Jonah, he lived in de whale,
Oh Jonah, he lived in de whale,
And he made his home in
Dat fish's abdomen.
Oh Jonah, he lived in de whale.

To get into Hebben
Don' snap for a sebben !
Live clean ! Don' have no fault !
Oh, I takes dat gospel
Whenever it's pos'ble,
But wid a little grain of salt.

Methus'lah lived nine hundred years,
Methus'lah lived nine hundred years,
But who calls dat livin'
When no gal will give in
To no man what's nine hundred years ?

That's why I say it ain't
It ain't necessarily so
Ain't nece-ain't nece
Ain't necessarily ... so !

The First Rock And Roll Song

"Rocket 88" (originally written as Rocket "88") is a rhythm and blues song that was first recorded at Sam Phillips' recording studio in Memphis, Tennessee, on 3 March or 5 March 1951 (accounts differ). It has been claimed by Phillips and some music critics to be the "first rock and roll song".

A 61 year old song. Wow!

Blasphemy Is A Victimless Crime

I'll throw a pie in the face of piety
I'll torch a torah right off a bridge
I am a reverend of irreverence
I'm a shill for any sacrilege
I understand that faith in a deity
Helps the masses who are having hard times
But blasphemy like prostitution
Are clearly victimless crimes

Blasphemy, blasphe-you, Jesus Christ the blackest Jew
Blasphe-you, blasphemy, poisonous pedagogy

I'm an unbeliever, I'm a heretic
I'm gonna projectile puke off a pew
I'm a trouble making immature imp
I'm gonna turn your other cheek for you
I understand we all need something to believe in
I believe I'll never be given wings and
I'm sorry if it's up there cuz I didn't think
A song was gonna hurt its feelings

Blasphemy, speaking deadpan
Apparently this god has got a master plan
Now they call foul, pure heresy
But ya gotta wonder, does he have a plan B?

Horus similar to Mithra, Attis analogous to Krishna
Jesus, different name same story
All based on ancient Egyptian allegory
My position hasn't been occulted
It can never be more overstated
My intelligence has been insulted
So my tongue lashes out in defense
Anything that is your holy or sacred
I'm gonna desecrate and use in jest
But you'll never hear a crack about Mohammed
Cuz I don't wanna get shot in the chest

Blasphemy, isn't this fun
Rob a rabbi, bugger a nun
Blasphemy, want some more?
Mother Mary, the virgin whore

Will The Fetus Be Aborted?

If a woman sacrifices the fetus won't it go to heaven? How loving and giving, if you follow anti-abortion Christian thought. She sacrifices herself that her offspring might live eternally in the home up yonder.
