Trump has heralded he will replace the failure Obamacare with something so terrific and cheap. It hit me today what that will be and it was there right in front of us the whole time. Mike Pence, Mister Evangelical. There will be the best doctor, the best care, cheap and tax-payers will provide for billionaires and members of Congress.

For the rest of us it will be PRAYER.

James 5:13-15

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.
Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

See. How wonderful. What doctor is better than God Himself? It is a double bonus - you won't be sick anymore and your sins are forgiven you.

Sounds like voodoo don't it? Just chant a prayer and the guy is no longer sick. Judaism and Christian roots are in pagan religions where they chant things they wanted and offered blood sacrifices to their god. These religions just cleaned up the fairy tale a tad, not much.

Isn't more rational to put your hands together and wash them? More have been saved doing that.

Faith Healing Kills Again

Wednesday morning marked the beginning of the trial of Shannon and Dale Hickman, who are charged with second-degree manslaughter in the September 2009 death of their newborn son. David Hickman died less than nine hours after being born, of staph pneumonia, pulmonary immaturity, and chorioamnionitis, which affects fetal membranes through a bacterial infection.

The Hickmans belong to the Followers of Christ Church, an Oregon City congregation that believes in faith-healing over medical care. The church has a long history in Oregon of child deaths involving treatable illnesses, which has led to multiple legislative changes eliminating faith-healing as a defense against criminal charges.

In less than three years, four couples, including the Hickmans, have gone to trial for failing to provide adequate medical care to their children. Three of those cases have involved deaths.

My hot wife and I were at a restaurant this past weekend. A middle age man was there with his pre-teen daughter where he was corrupting her in the ways of the magical sky daddy. When their food came he bowed his head, she followed. He prayed loud enough for us to hear. He quickly got over the thanks for the food part and then went into the longest plead for him & his to be blest. He even asked for his business to be blest. I am sure Jeebus was getting it all down quickly and was gonna get right on it. Never mind young children who were dying from starvation and malaria at the same time.

National Day of Prayer is coming on May 5th, but we should pray to our Lord every single day. This video dramatically shows what the world would be like if we stopped praying. Let's never stop and never give up.

After seeing the video with its ominous music for affect, I think it will be just a cloudy, rainy day if we don't pray. Not too bad. We do need rain as everyone says. But what is it with this God? Is he the stereotypical Jewish mother? What? You don't call your mother? You will hear about it forever, all this bitching and moaning. What is it with this God who is all powerful, all knowing, all loving who gets petty and annoyed that we don't pray to him? Wouldn't he just be happy if we were happy enjoying each others company and a corona? Instead of staring down at us arms folded he should just join in and have some fun with us. Such a party-pooper. Dude, lighten up.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

To fully prove your faith in God you have to take it to the point of death, right? The quote above from James does say that the sick WILL be made well, no maybes. The Followers of Christ believe in the literal Word Of God, which is unfortunate for their offspring. And yet even watching their children die in front of them they learn nothing. The power of denial, the power of their prayers. Christians say they believe in truth. They cannot see the truth even when it smacks them in their face. Taking the Bible literally is insane.

Jesus said "Ask and you shall receive". A failed promise for these children and many others.

Angela Wright had a heart attack a couple of months ago. Her husband Dwight doesn't want the doctors to act though you can clearly see in the video that they are caring for her. He and his friends and family continued to pray and she has had 5 more heart attacks. When will he wake up? Delusional faith is one scary thing. Torturing his wife for his faith.
