He blows shit up.

Every notice in the Bible and apparently in nature when he is pissed he frickin' hates discussion. He just nukes Sodom and Gomorrah. He tells his people to kill every man, woman, child, infant and animal in towns. He punishes with tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes and such. Uses a 10-lb hammer instead of a scalpel. God punishes America because of homosexuals. Hmmmm...couldn't just punish the homosexual? Doh!

He has a real bad aim. He tends to hit the mark but sprays all around as well.

He is a red zone. Only black and white thinking.

You screw up in a 70+ year life and you are going to burn for ALL eternity. 

He loves the part of creating kids, but would rather not stick around for the day in day out care. No one alive has actually seen him. And the ones who want him beg for their Daddy to come home.  Why won't Daddy come home, Mommy?

Alexander An, 31 years old, an Indonesian civil servant, was born a Muslim but on his facebook page he recently wrote "God does not exists". He was attacked and beaten by an angry mob in his home town of Pulau Punjung, a small island and remote. He has been arrested. He could face serious jail time for free thought. His facebook posts no longer appear. The religious are erasing him. For those of us in America who see the religious are demanding God and country....well, this is certainly a lesson. Religious history playing out in front of us with the good fortune of being able to know of this through the internet. Otherwise we would never have heard of Alexander An and his incredible bravery. Could I living in such a country speak up?

Under the Indonesian criminal code blasphemy is defined as publicly expressing feelings or taking some action that spreads hatred, abuse or taints a religion in a way it would cause someone to disbelieve any of the country's six official religions.

They don't care what imaginary god you believe in but just as long as you believe in one of the six. And they greatly fear you might cause someone to think. The religious certainly froth at the mouth. They resent atheists so deeply they contradict themselves. You will hear them shout "Freedom of religion is not freedom from religion" and in the next breath they say "Atheism is a religion". They sure like to have their cake and eat it too. Logic does not and cannot matter when you believe in something that there is no evidence for. We can simply and plainly say God does not exist. Certainly His followers demonstrate He has made the heart and brain for nothing. Love and thought have been shown the door. They are empty words on the mouth of the religious. Don't believe them.

Churches Reeling From Decline in Donations

As my blog's name says Jesus always needs money. He can create worlds, heal the sick, raise the dead, but never has enough money. This hard hit recession is even making it even tougher for the Lord and Master of the Universe. Friday's article in the New York Times describes the woes of Jesus trying to pay his electric bill or paying his gospel singers. Trying to keep up all that adoration He craves it no easy task.

A couple of interesting statements in the article are "Some members, newly jobless and ashamed, turned in tithing envelopes that were empty" and "On one hand, more than 50 families out of a total of 580 in his congregation this year asked for their annual dues to be reduced". You know some churches require you to make a financial contract with the Church. Nice way to guilt the members, so much so that some are too embarrassed to even show up. One church board member told his pastor to stop asking for donations and pray for the economy to turn around. What's wrong with these politicians? All we need to do is pray - problem solved. Well, it is only a theory or actually an unproven hypothesis. This god is unpredictable.

"While the recession has sharpened the drop in giving, it is not entirely responsible for it. Rather, it has accentuated and accelerated a trend away from giving to religious organizations that scholars have been tracking for the past decade. The impending wave of retirements by baby boomers, who start hitting age 65 next year, threatens another blow to congregational income." I know where 20+ million went to a pseudo-science Creation Museum in Kentucky that says man rode on dinosaurs denying all evidence except the TV show the Flintstones.

How is it the churches suffer with this? Does the story of Joseph in the Bible show that righteous people are bless with great wealth? The prosperity gospel.

All they need do is pray and be righteous and Jesus will...will..still NEED MONEY.
