Gays Created By The Devil

Gays created by the Devil says US Catholic Church Policy Advisor
From Irish Central.

This week The Boston Pilot, the nations oldest Catholic newspaper, published a column by a senior official suggesting the devil probably makes people gay.

In the column Daniel Avila, who is a Massachussetts attorney and (take a breath here) Policy Advisor for Marriage and Family of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage, bluntly says that 'the scientific evidence of how same-sex attraction most likely may be created provides a credible basis for a spiritual explanation that indicts the devil.'

So if you're gay the phrase the devil made you do it has a whole new meaning this week. We are all made in God's image (except for the gays, obviously).

Elucidating, Avila described homosexuality as a 'natural disaster' caused by Satan invading the wombs of mothers of LGBT children.

It happens all the time apparently.

In case you missed his point, or the implications, Avila spells it out for you: '…whenever natural causes disturb otherwise typical biological development, leading to the personally unchosen beginnings of same-sex attraction, the ultimate responsibility, on a theological level, is and should be imputed to the evil one, not God.'

God would never make anyone gay because if He did then the persecution of gay people (whom God created gay, after all) would be a sin. We simply can't have that. So gay people are the devil's work and you are free to oppress them in any and every way you can.

But telling a mother that the Devil entered her womb and made her child gay is new, even by Catholic standards. Until now we've just had to endure the idiotic sophistry that asked us to love the sinner but hate the sin (that pretzel theology that seeks to oppress whilst appearing compassionate).

But this week Avila, who calls himself 'the bishops' marriage guy,' has shown us the true face of the USCCB, who have refused to condemn his words. This is the man Americas Catholic bishops look to for advice about the LGBT community. He sounds deranged.

Avila's article caused a firestorm and it was eventually pulled with an apology from its publisher, The Boston Pilot. But you have to acknowledge that same source published it without objection in the first place.

Sometimes the mask slips and you get to see what those in positions of real authority actually think about gay people. This week that happened and the silence is deafening.

Cause Found For Pedophile Priests

The Catholics spent $1.8 millions dollars and 5 years to find out the cause of their priests widespread cases of pedophilia since the 40's. Was it because they demand celibacy from their priests? Wow, surprisingly no, no, no. It was, get this, because of the free-loving 60's and because their priest were undertrained. You know how being undertrained makes you think of young boys. The profound ignorance of churches to come up with anything other than the truth is beyond belief. This is not the pink elephant in the middle of the room, this is a pink whale sitting in the middle of the room.

The Catholic church provided the data, no conflict of interest there. The liberals in the church say it was because of celibacy, the conservatives say it was because of priests being gay. A miss followed by a miss. The priest are just pedophiles. They are sick and instead of getting help they went undercover in the perfect place to be find young boys with the power of god behind them and lots of secrecy.

The principal investigator said “The peak of this abuse crisis is historical. That peak is over.”
Ignore me doing this ... Ignore me doing this.

It goes on and on. The Church shows they are corrupt morally and won't expose these priest, defrock and prosecute these horrible persons. No surprise, this is organized religion.

When he cuts you with his Bible belt

You won't remember anything you felt
When he cuts you all alive with his bible belt
You won't remember anything you felt
When he cuts you all to pieces with his bible belt
Well you'll see
There's no one that kissed me
When you fuck for a week
You kind of think he might like you
But he doesn't

George Rekers hypocrisy

"I am not a homosexual". George Rekers, a member of NARTH, National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuals who believe it is a sin and a choice. Rekers apparently believes in saving gays by sleeping with them.

NARTH Responds to the
Recent Media Coverage of Dr. George Rekers

May 6, 2010 -- The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) is a professional scientific organization with hundreds of academic, research, and clinical members dedicated to assisting individuals dealing with unwanted homosexual attractions. While NARTH is focused on the science of homosexual attraction, personal controversies often deepen the existing cultural divide on this issue. Such is the case in the recent news stories concerning one of our members, Dr. George Rekers.

NARTH takes seriously the accusations that have been made, and we are currently attempting to understand the details behind these press reports. We are always saddened when this type of controversy impacts the lives of individuals, and we urge all parties to allow a respectful and thorough investigation to take place.

At this difficult time for the families and individuals involved, we extend our sympathies. We also wish to reiterate our traditional position that these personal controversies do not change the scientific data, nor do they detract from the important work of NARTH.

NARTH continues to support scientific research, and to value client autonomy, client self-determination and client diversity

"unwanted homosexual attractions"?
Why does that sound like unsightly hair removal?

Also this incident doesn't change their scientific data. How much you want to bet their science is only found in the Bible?

Extramarital sex causes more earthquakes

Are fundamental religious people nuts or what? Pat Robertson I am sure agrees with his primitive desert religion monotheist cousin.

From Telegraph.co.uk

Attractive women who snub traditional Islamic clothing to instead wear fashionable clothes and apply heavy make-up, caused youths in the country to “go astray” and have affairs, Ayatollah Kazem Sedighi said.

The hard-line cleric said as a result the country, bounded by several fault lines, experienced more “calamities” such as earthquakes, the reformist Aftab-e Yazd newspaper reported him saying.

Iran is prone to frequent quakes, many of which have been devastating for the country.
"Many women who dress inappropriately ... cause youths to go astray, taint their chastity and incite extramarital sex in society, which increases earthquakes," he told worshippers at a Tehran prayer service late last week.

"Calamities are the result of people's deeds.

“We have no way but conform to Islam to ward off dangers."

The Islamic dress code is mandatory in Iran, which has been under clerical rule for more than three decades.

Every post-pubescent woman regardless of her religion or nationality must cover her hair and bodily contours in public.

Offenders face punishment and fine.

But this has not stopped urban women from appearing in the streets wearing tight coats and flimsy headscarves and layers of skilfully applied make-up.

Experts have warned that a strong quake in Tehran, the Iranian capital, could kill hundreds of thousands of people.

Tehran province has nearly 14 million inhabitants, eight million of whom live in the city, which sits on several fault lines.

Earlier this month, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the country’s president, warned at least five million Tehran residents that they should flee Iran's capital because it is threatened by earthquakes.

Mr Ahmadinejad said that more than two thirds of Iran's 74-million-strong population lived in urban areas.

"We cannot predict when an earthquake will happen. But if anything happens to Tehran province's 13.8 million residents, how can we manage that?" he asked.

The worst in recent times hit the southern city of Bam in December 2003, killing more than 31,000 people – about a quarter of the population – and destroying its ancient mud-built citadel.

Earlier this year the hardline cleric led rallies from Iranian government supporters who denounced opposition students who burned photos of the country's supreme leader during protests in December.

"The issue has reached a point where the picture of Imam Khomeini is insulted," he said.
"They questioned things that are sacred."

He mocked opposition activists who "thought the revolution had been defeated".

Abortion

There are some Christians who have a one-note religion. It is entirely about abortion. There are even a few disturbed ones who see nothing wrong with murdering abortion doctors.

So, to be so fixated on this one cause, the Bible must clearly say "Thou shalt not commit abortion". But yet there is not even a single reference to it.

One text often quoted is the 6th commandment "Thou shall not kill". Exodus 20:13. It is often pointed out that this is better translated "Thou shat not murder" because you don't want to confuse Christianity with Hinduism that honors all life. This commandment is about humans only, not animals. And Christians believe in righteous wars and in God commanding them to kill others especially if they believe in a different invisible man in the sky than they do.

Murder is legally defined as killing someone with malicious intent. Unintentionally murder is called manslaughter which carries a much lighter sentence or none at all. Question: Does a pregnant woman who seeks an abortion have malicious intent against the baby that she is carrying? Does she hate that baby? It is hard to have malicious intent against someone you don't even know. For these women it is an intensely awful decision we would all agree.

But what about the God of the Bible? Does He ever have exhibit malicious intent?

Noah's flood - Genesis 6:6-7
The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them.” The inconvenient birth of mankind offended God so much he had to destroy every man, woman and child. How can an all-knowing God grieve when He knew from eternity this was going to happen and He had the power to prevent it?

Sodom and Gomorrah - Genesis 19:24-25
Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. Offended again He torched the two cities like Hiroshima and Nagasaki killing every man woman and child.

God got tired of doing the killing and decided to have his children do his dirty work instead. He instructed Joshua to destroy everyone in the towns of Jericho and Ai as his people were entering their promised land.
When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city. They devoted the city to the LORD and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys. Joshua 6:20-21
Twelve thousand men and women fell that day—all the people of Ai. Joshua 8:25

God speaks to the first king of Israel Saul through the His prophet - 1 Samuel 15:2-3
This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’” Saul killed all the humans but saved the good livestock. God got really pissed at Saul over that.

Now wait a minute. There were loads of women killed in these acts of genocide. There must have been a few pregnant women. So, God is OK with killing some fetuses. Interesting. They certainly could not have been evil. Couldn't God have said save the pregnant women and when they give birth kill the mother and save the baby? Perhaps that would have been too inconvenient. Or is it that these people were heathen and abortion is OK for them?

Abortion was widely practiced before, during and after the time of Christ. Yet how odd there are no Biblical prohibitions to it. You would think Paul would say go to the government and get a law in place to stop this practice, but instead he worries about such things as men and women's hair length (1 Corinthians 11).

Abortions are an ugly and emotional mess for sure. However, it is again the shortsightedness of crazed fundamentalist that make it a black and white issue. Some say that abortion is not allowed even in the case of rape or the health of the mother. How would you like to see the face of your rapist for the rest of your life? How would you like to know your mother died giving you birth?

There are those who think the reduction in crime in the U.S. was in part due to allowing abortion. Unwanted babies will most likely become abused children. Also we think of the human species as so sacred that it doesn't matter if we destroy the earth. One human does a lot of destruction to the earth. It requires a lot of stuff to maintain a homo sapien. Think of how much one human consumes particularly an American. This is not to make the decision of having an abortion any lighter or cavalier, but no idiot should mandate this for an entire country or even one pregnant woman.

Notes:
The first recorded evidence of induced abortion, is from the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus in 1550 BC
A Chinese record documents the number of royal concubines who had abortions in China between the years 500 and 515 BC.
In Greek and Roman history abortion was a gynecological procedure and it was primarily the province of women who were either midwives or well-informed laypeople. In his Theaetetus, Plato mentions a midwife's ability to induce abortion in the early stages of pregnancy.
Christian authors like Tertullian and Saint Augustine wrote about the methods used for abortion as a medical procedure. Tertullian refers to performing it to save the life of the mother.

Sex and Religion

Religion is all about controlling others. What is the best way to do that? Tell the children what what is going on in their body is evil. As we adults know it is all quite confusing as our bodies morph into adults. So, this is the perfect time to take advantage of the vulnerable which is religion's favorite target.

Right off the bat Jehovah decrees in Exodus 20:
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

The 10th commandment is against envy and sexual feelings. An aside: Envy is what keeps capitalism going but American Christians conveniently sweep that under the rug.

Most people remember Jesus' Sermon on the Mount as a loving sermon, like blessed are the meek. However, this is also part of it:

Matthew 5:27-30
You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. From the peanut gallery: What if you masturbate with your left hand?

Sweet Jesus. I should destroy some part of my body because of a simple biological need to keep our species alive? If we could kill all our sexual feelings then the human race would die out in less than 150 years and then you would have no one to shame. It just does not make sense unless you want people to feel shame in order to control them.

Movies like Jesus of Nazareth, which I have watched many times for inspiration to believe the illusion, leave the dismember your body part out of the sermon on the mount. They need Jesus to be sweet and loving. Most preachers would leave it out as well. The part they leave in says you should be happy when you are persecuted. Again don't feel what you naturally feel.

Mind control. Religion is not happy enough with controlling your behavior it must also have control of your thoughts. What was that crap about God giving us free-will?

The Pope flagellated himself

"In Krakow as in the Vatican, Karol Wojtyla flagellated himself," Oder writes in the book, citing testimony from people in the late pope's close entourage while he was bishop in his native Poland and after he was elected pope in 1978.

"In his closet, among his vestments, there was hung on a clothes hanger a particular kind of belt for pants, which he used as a whip," Oder writes.

When he was bishop in Poland, he often slept on the bare floor so he could practice self-denial and asceticism, Oder writes.

Such a bizarre practice. I heard someone jokingly say he beat himself because he never got laid. In reality it may have just been the case. Paul of the New Testament had major sexual hang-ups and he highly recommended men do not defile themselves with women. The church took a very natural thing, sexual desire, and labeled it perverted and for those who entertained it they would be damned. As Jesus said if your eye offends you (saw a beautiful women) you should pluck out your eye so you won't go to an imaginary place called hell. Now if you think you can just masturbate he condemns that as well. If you hand offends you cut it off. Don't use your foot either (Mark 9:42-48).

The prophet of my old Church, the Seventh Day Adventist, wrote that you must avoid the evil of self-pleasure because it would destroy your kidneys. So far I have never heard or read of the medical profession backing up that claim.

This trying to suppress something natural brings about unnatural response such as the infamous sexual abuse done by Catholic priest.

Monotheists twist natural biology. Sound familiar?

I don't think it makes you a saint by keeping yourself backed up your whole life. However the Church thinks otherwise. They want to sainthood him. But he needs a miracle to lock that in.

The next step will be the recognition of a miracle attributed to John Paul. It involves a French nun who was inexplicably cured of Parkinson's disease after praying to him.

Am sure they will find people to lie about it. Twisting the truth? Happens all the time.
