Bible Limited World View
The above pictures are from an interesting Bible related website about Bible Geography. On the website you can click on the hot spots to find that location's bible verse(s). But what I am struck with is how limit the world view is. The fortunate thing for Israel was that it was the crossroads of great empires, but even so they remained small minded and local. Unfortunately great empires bought their crap instead of the other way around and this is a large factor in the lack of understanding and peace in the world. Religion kills.

Faith Healing Kills Again
Wednesday morning marked the beginning of the trial of Shannon and Dale Hickman, who are charged with second-degree manslaughter in the September 2009 death of their newborn son. David Hickman died less than nine hours after being born, of staph pneumonia, pulmonary immaturity, and chorioamnionitis, which affects fetal membranes through a bacterial infection.
The Hickmans belong to the Followers of Christ Church, an Oregon City congregation that believes in faith-healing over medical care. The church has a long history in Oregon of child deaths involving treatable illnesses, which has led to multiple legislative changes eliminating faith-healing as a defense against criminal charges.
In less than three years, four couples, including the Hickmans, have gone to trial for failing to provide adequate medical care to their children. Three of those cases have involved deaths.

Cruel Irony
A Muslim is trying to pray and these god-fearing, Jesus-loving christians are mocking him by putting a coffee cup in front of him where he will bow and throwing coins at his place of worship. The idiot at the end say that Islam is bad because they will kill someone who doesn't believe the way they do. FACE PALM. He doesn't know his christian history. On one level I think this is almost funny. A fairy tale belief mocking a fairy tale belief like two children yelling at each other because one believes in the tooth fairy as real and the other believes santa clause is real. But on another level it just seems ironically cruel.
